£40,000 pro rata, plus company benefits

Full time - 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday - (interim contract)

MRB Health & Social Care Recruitment have an excellent opportunity for an Interim Service Manager to be based in Cullompton in Devon. Applicants are invited to apply for this vacancy who have experience of managing complex and diverse health or social care services.

Our client is a leading charity who provide care and re-habilitation support for adults and children with autism, learning disabilities, ABI and with profound physical disabilities. They offer residential services, supported living, registered and domiciliary care services


As am Interim Service Manager, you will be required to provide cover on an interim basis at our clients "outstanding CQC rated" residential service based in Collumpton, Devon. This is a specialist assessment and re-habilitation centre for up to 19 people with acquired brain injury and complex needs, including physical, cognitive, behavioural and/or emotional difficulties.

As a Service Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the management of all aspects of the centre. You will assume line management responsibilities for the senior management team and lead clinicians where appropriate to provide operational support and take overall responsibility for recruitment, employment and work practices.

You will participate in conferences and marketing opportunities and take a lead responsibility for the financial accounting systems on location including Trust and service user finances. You will ensure that the physical environment is safe in accordance with appropriate legislation and best practise and monitor quality standards.

As a Service Manager, you will have the following skills / experience:

  • NVQ level 5 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
  • In depth knowledge of Care Quality Commission regulations (CQC)
  • Ability to manage and guide staff
  • Experience of implementing policy and procedure
  • Experience of managing budgets budget’s and financial systems

Pay and benefits:

  • The successful applicant will receive a salary of £40,000 pro rata, annual leave and sick pay entitlement.
  • Free parking is available on site
