Service Manager - West Cornwall

We have an exciting opportunity at Mencap for a Service Manager to work at our supported living services in Penzance. At our Penzance service, we support 10 individuals across two services that are in close proximity to each other, offering a real variety in both experiences and personalities (to see more about the people we support, please click the 'additional information' tab at the bottom of this advert). As a Service Manager your role is key in guaranteeing the quality of our service delivery and ensuring that our services are always improving.

We require someone who loves a challenge, is creative, has a passion for positive change and has the confidence to make difficult decisions under pressure. You will be self-motivated and determined to achieve the best outcomes for people we support with a learning disability. You will achieve this through leading and motivating a dedicated team of diverse support workers to ensure and maintain the delivery of high quality support. The successful applicant will need to be confident in communicating with people we support, staff, family members and partner agencies.

Reporting to the Area Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day management of the service which will include organising rotas, managing budgets and ensuring compliancy with CQC. You will be based in our office in Hayle so a full UK driving licence will be required in order to travel to the services on a regular basis. Experience within the sector is desirable, as well as supervising staff teams and rota management.
