Based from the West Midlands office of this leading international healthcare company working on their innovative product range across the UK and dealing with international subsidiaries.

General Description
Analyser and peripheral component setup for end user customers and subsidiaries and distributors.
Installation of analysers at customer sites as required.
Support and provide back up to International Service Engineer as and when required.
Undertake analyser preventative maintenance services.
Provide technical assistance (via phone and/or written correspondence) to customers in response to enquiries/reports from the field.
Repair and/or replacement of any faulty analyser components to restore functionality of the analyser within the agreed timescales and in order to offer first time fix solution.
Repair returned analysers or component parts and return to reconditioned stock.
Maintain stock control of spare parts.
Write, check, approve and update service documents as required.
Validate and test new hardware on existing platforms and software versions.
Validate other future TBS platforms
Attend any engineering support tasks as required.
Deliver service engineer training for internal and external people as required.
Attend external training courses as required

Deputising tasks
To coordinate all activities including all analyser orders for UK and international, scheduled engineering visits, allocation of work, training and to ensure the required standard of service is achieved and maintained as per SLA
To ensure that all statutory and Company regulations and policies relating to SOP's, health and safety are enforced and maintained
To liaise with all staff, including regular meetings, to ensure effective and meaningful communication
To take responsibility for supporting staff, formally and informally with appropriate records keeping, according to the needs of the business and within the procedure laid down by the Company
To present a smart and professional image at all times
Identify need for updates and distribute documents to users and next generation of instrumentation
Manage engineers spare part inventory
Ensure communication at all times with other areas of the business such as marketing and production

Essential requirements:
Electronics, Mechanical or Engineering Degree / HNC (Or equivalent)
Experienced Medical Engineer
Proven field service record with IVD or Medical Devices
Must be comfortable with UK, European and worldwide travel at short notice
Full UK driving licence
Excellent Customer Service Experience.
Good communication skills when dealing with customers
