We are currently seeking a dynamic and customer centric individual to join our Wholesale market services department which facilitates the delivery of our business's new market obligations. We enable the sale of services to all companies licensed to operate in the water markets, this equates to over £400m of revenue that is managed within the team. As well as managing approximately £40m of risk associated with market compliance.
The Service development manager is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our services offering to ensure continued excellence & compliance within regulatory requirements; and drive customer service forward. You will protect and enhance sales revenue and develop new commercial opportunities, pricing of the services and publication of the tariff documents to regulatory deadlines. You will lead, maintain, develop and enhance services offered as well as enhance and build successful and strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What will this role involve?
You will lead, maintain and enhance the service agreements between Wholesale and internal service providers, from the perspective of sales & compliance and a drive in customer service. There will be a proactive and inclusive approach to operational and service issues and a high level of stakeholder engagement.
You will ensure customer service as well as the timely delivery and management of the change governance associated with the Wholesale Service Offering, Wholesale Tariff Document and the Wholesale service agreement, looking to continuously develop the functional business unit, with a focus on delivery of Wholesale Market Services to Retailers and Wholesalers.
Leading a team, you will define and measure key performance indicators that provide accountability and measurability of all outputs as well as qualitative added value.
Maintain and enhance the Wholesale website and support the development of Wholesale market services.

We are seeking an individual with strong commercial awareness and project management capability to drive transformation and change, as well as demonstrable leadership skills.
You will be highly experienced in creating & delivering new services, and in the management of complex commercial deliverables within a fast moving and challenging environment.
You will have strong analytical skills and have experience directing complex projects, as well as best practice in stakeholder engagement. You will have impeccable communication and presentation skills with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships.
This role is based in Reading, only minutes from Reading train station and 25 minutes from London Paddington. We're offering an annual salary of circa £60k, depending on skills and experience, alongside a highly competitive bonus, car allowance, private healthcare and an excellent pension scheme.
