Service Desk Manager - Hemel Hempstead
The Ashdown Group has been engaged by a Managed Service Providerbased in the Hemel Hempstead area to assist them in their search for a Service Desk Manager. This is a technical role bearing responsibility for overseeing the Service Desk team and providing technical and situational guidance and support.
The successful candidate will have considerable prior experience in a technical service desk and must have had experience of leading or managing a team within this context. A comprehensive knowledge of service management along ITIL lines is essential and it is expected that you will be ITIL certified. You will be accustomed to managing, mentoring and developing technical team members and be comfortable arming them with appropriate strategies for dealing with technical issues and difficult situations alike.
Technically, you will be an expert at resolving problems with Microsoft / Windows technologies, so will have an in depth knowledge of Windows Desktop and Server technologies, Active Directory,Exchange and MS Office. It is expected that you will have solid foundations in network troubleshooting as well as dealing with common network and network security issues.
