Service Desk Analyst

A Service Desk Analyst is required for an initial 3 Month contract for our public sector client based in Swinton.

The Service Desk Analyst will provide 1st line support over the telephone, via email and self-service. The ideal candidate will need to be highly customer service orientated with strong technical skills in supporting Microsoft Windows 7, 8.1, 10. Also, Microsoft Office 2010 and 2013.

Furthermore, the candidate will need to display some of the following qualities:
• Excellent telephone manner
• Work with the Service Desk team to accomplish common goals
• Take ownership of user interaction and see through any resolution of incidents and requests in a timely manner
• Share knowledge and best practice
• Have experience of working to a high level of accuracy
• Be able to work to own initiative, organise workload and time efficiently
• Have a high standard of written and oral communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills
• Have experience using Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory and ITSM tools (ideally Hornbill Supportworks)
• Driving license - for possible travel using company car to troubleshoot faults off site
• Knowledge of ITIL
