Role will predominantly involve working within Voice and Data Communications Teams. You should be experienced in service desk, first and second line technical support in telephony and networking.
Contract is 6 months long
*HNC in a computer related subject or equivalent
*Microsoft Certified Professional in Windows 2000 / XP / Vista / Windows 7 or equivalent.
*A comprehensive understanding of Microsoft technologies
*Experience of managing distributed and networked server based PC systems in a mainly Microsoft environment
*The skills necessary to provide PC support
*Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Internet solutions, and corporate ICT infrastructures
*Effective consultation and negotiation skills
*MCSE or MCSA certified or equivalent, or working towards MCSE or MCSA accreditation or equivalent
*Knowledge of current and future ICT trends relevant to the public sector
*Knowledge of UNIX
*Experience of local authority business processes and practices
