Service Delivery Manager - Newport - Up to £38,000 + Benefits
A marketing leading organisation are looking for a skilled Service Delivery Manager to join their diverse and growing team located in Newport. You will be joining an already successful IT Infrastructure team, which offers long term progression and an enviable career path.
The Service Delivery Manager will play a hands-off role, managing the day-to-day operation of new and existing infrastructure services, products and platforms. You will lead and manage the Infrastructure team to ensure they are continually improving and decommissioning infrastructure services (SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS). As the Service Delivery Manager, you will manage incidents, requests, configuration and performance, whilst driving continuous improvement activities. You will be expected to share your knowledge of tools and techniques, collaborating with the team to improve the overall capability.
The suitable candidate will be able to manage Major Incidents related to the infrastructure services, co-ordinating effort across multiple teams and suppliers to reinstate services promptly. You’ll have an expertise in Change and Release Management with the ability to assess, manage and co-ordinate the delivery of multiple complex changes to live services. The Service Delivery Manager will be an excellent problem solver, a strong leader and an advocate of Continuous Improvement.
From a technical standpoint, you will be expected to have an awareness and working knowledge of some or all of the following:
- Networks & Telecoms (Cisco, Firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- EUC (Active Directory, Google Apps, Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint)
- Storage & Server Operating Systems (Windows, Unix, Linux)
- Virtualisation (VMWare ESX, VRealize, VDI, SRM, Enterprise storage)
- Database (Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server, MongoDB)
