Depot Manager / Service Centre Manager
Circa 40,000 - £50,000 per annum + Car Allowance + Excellent Pension & Benefits
We are looking for an individual who has previously worked within the logistics environment, or similar industry as a strong manager. The role will need the individual to maintain full responsibility for the Depot in the achievement of the Company?s strategic objectives and to continuously improve performance through service delivery, people development and innovation. Ensure the execution of these services to defined service, cost and quality standards, achieving targeted improvement operations performance measures.
Ownership of the Service Centre P&L and cost target achievement.
Control the financial flex budgets for service centre by monitoring costs and resource utilisation. Take remedial action where projected spend would exceed the authorised limit.
Ensure fully focused on cost control (weekly).
Ensure performance information on costs and resource utilisation is fully assessed against budgets/forecasts, correctly interpreted and effective action taken to reduce costs, enhance value and meet Yodel objectives
Assist in the setting of financial budgets, which contribute to the delivery of business plans to optimise profitability.
CPC Holder (Transport Management) ? essential
IOSH Certificate ? essential together with thorough working knowledge of H & S policies and procedures
Experience of dealing with disciplinary and grievance procedure
Educated to A Level standard/NVQ Level 4 or equivalent
Direct management responsibility for the operations colleagues, equipment, P&L, consumables and facilities.
Experience of working in a similar sized environment is therefore essential.
Experience of working in an environment involving KPI monitoring is also essential.
Effective leadership skills and knowledge of all Company procedures.
Strong interpersonal and administration skills
Computer Literate .
