Service Administrator

Temp Service administrator required for the service division of a British company that designs, manufactures, sells and services a range of equipment that improves the lives, mobility and care of individuals. Currently undergoing some exciting growth and now looking to hire an enthusiastic administrator to join a small service team based in Ringwood, Hampshire.

The administrator's key responsibility would be to provide a high level of administrative support to the managers and directors to ensure the smooth running of the company.

Due to the reactive nature of the role you must be happy and comfortable handling inbound calls from customers and making outbound calls to the nationwide service engineers - any experience gained in a similar role would be highly desirable.

Salary: £8.50-£9.50 PH

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (1 hour for lunch)

An immediate start is offered and my client is therefore interviewing now - ideally you can start on Monday 12th March 2018 and work until Friday 23rd March 2018 - possibility of being extended

Key Responsibilities

  • First line support on the phone, handling customer calls regarding orders, quotes and call outs.
  • Support development and implementation of practical solutions to support the company’s expansion and other initiatives, and the daily performance of the service administration tasks.
  • Ensure compliance in meeting Service Level Agreements
  • Support the administrative team and service team managers to deal with escalated service issues quickly and effectively.
  • Manage all customer support activities for current customer base.
  • Pro-actively take on additional responsibilities and administration tasks as required by your team or manager.
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of the operations and maintenance of all Company products.
  • Manage service team’s mailbox and take ownership on relevant tasks such as quotes, call outs or order updates.
  • Produce monthly job packs for engineers and coordinate their diaries
  • Keep detailed notes and track customer issues through Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Demonstrate responsibility and flexibility when given tasks by a senior team member
  • Take care of and establish good relationships with all suppliers, team colleagues and internal/external customers.


  • Previous relevant experience in an administrative role of at least 1 year
  • Able to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Effective prioritisation skills with the ability to plan ahead
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing demands simultaneously
  • Organised, adaptable and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Positive, self-motivating disposition and an ability to use own initiative
  • Methodical approach to problems to provide solutions for the business with flexibility
  • Good level of IT literacy
  • Due to location (Business park in Ringwood) you should have your own transport
