- Exciting, data-driven team.
- Shape UX processes.
- Well-funded product.
We’re helping an exciting growing product team in Oxford recruit a Senior UX Designer. You’ll be working on a product that’s got the potential to disrupt and transform the consumer energy supply market, enabling customers to reduce their bills, increase home efficiency and de-carbonise their consumption.
What you’ll be doing
There are already a few tough challenges that’ll need to be solved. Primarily, these are around achieving sector-leading levels of consumer engagement in home energy through messaging, personalisation and the creation of true behaviour changes in users of the product. Think Fitbit for the home. As the first UX person to join the business, you’ll have the freedom to implement the UX research and design processes you see best to tackle these challenges and any other challenges in the future.
You’ll have direct access to a vast user base, access to the huge volumes of data that drive the product and the support of a team who are keen to develop their UX knowledge and move to a more user-centred culture.
As a UX Designer you’ll be expected to run workshops, bring users in for usability testing sessions, set up A/B tests, outline personas and utilise any other tools you think will enable a better experience for the user.
What experience you’ll need
- Previous experience in a User Research role or a UX Design role with a research focus.
- Extensive experience in using analytics tools (e.g Google Analytics).
- The confidence to work autonomously and the experience to set up UX processes.
- Ability to engage non-UX’ers and enable a shift in UX design thinking.
- Any experience of interactive data visualisation is a huge bonus
You’ll be joining a well-funded product team who see the value in adopting good UX processes. There’s also a competitive salary and benefits for the successful candidate on offer here.
