Senior Tax Advisor & Accountant
This is a high-profile role with great potential you will be an influential part of a market-leading team, acting as a trusted adviser to a portfolio of top clients and partners this will mean using your technical expertise to understand their businesses and deliver trusted bespoke tax advice both corporately and personally. You’ll need to build brilliant relationships that last and use these to develop new opportunities and grow the top line.
You need to be an ambitious, proactive self-starter with the confidence to lead teams and have the communication skills to positively influence both internal and external stakeholders. Using the relationships you build, you’ll develop the best possible solutions and consistently create opportunities to improve the services on offer. This could involve preparing R&D tax relief claims for your clients, navigating HMRC queries on your clients’ behalf or implementing forward-thinking R&D strategies to maximise future tax relief claims.
Your role as Senior Tax Manager will give you a great platform from which you can develop a career to be proud of. You’ll work with senior leadership to shape the future revenue – innovatively developing and defining services to help offer true value to the businesses you work with, and act as a mentor to less experienced team members. Sharing your knowledge, giving actionable feedback and keeping up to date with industry trends, your expertise will help our team capitalise on opportunities and, together, you’ll actively drive change.

A Typical Day
Manage Portfolio of Partner relationships
Review work prepared by junior accountants
Maintain high levels of support for all Partners via clear communication on the phone.
Identify new sales opportunities following these through to an agreed conclusion both internally and with Partners.
What You Need
At least 2 years working in practice
ACCA/ACA qualified OR qualified by experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability and confidence to have difficult discussions with Partners
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Xero and QuickBooks Online
Understand the needs of both internal and external Partners, empathising with their pains and providing effective solutions to their problems
Work well in a team, independently and on a remote basis
