As a result of the recent merger, they are going through a significant transformation and are investing in their business systems architecture to ensure that it delivers excellence in teaching and learning, as well as being business efficient and responsive in the marketplace.
They are now looking for a Senior Systems Developer to join their small yet dynamic team and assist the Systems Development and Reporting Manager in ensuring the delivery of efficient and progressive management information systems. As the Senior Developer, your first challenge will be to help create a data warehouse for the new college and further develop their internal ASP.net platform to utilise the new data warehouse.
This role demands an individual who is educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in IT or a related discipline and who has experience of extracting information from complex databases, creating a platform for users to interact with the information in a controlled, logical and user centric way. With excellent analytical and problem solving skills, you will be a strong team player who can demonstrate a professional and corporate approach.
Experience of using SQL and the .Net framework is essential, as is the ability to spot opportunities for driving efficiencies and a thirst for continued professional development. As this role will also be customer facing, good communication and interpersonal skills are a pre-requisite.
