Senior Support Worker

Creative Support are looking for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join our friendly staff team in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. At Bryson Place, we provide quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health support needs and Autism in the Bromsgrove area. Our vibrant supported living service in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire is home to 14 service users living in self-contained flats. As Senior Support Worker, you will have a passion for promoting active involvement and communication to ensure that ‘every day is a good day’. No two days will be the same at this service as we support our service users to follow their passions and engage in a range of activities including cooking/baking, board games, movie nights, arts and crafts and many more! We are looking for someone with a great sense of humour looking to join a friendly and energetic staff team.
Your role will include:
- You will provide individualised support to people with mental health, learning disabilities and autism in an independent living/ supported living setting, to promote their quality of life and personal development,
- You will engage with service users and build trusting therapeutic relationships, working within to encourage wellbeing and positive coping skills,
- You will support staff and devise rotas that meet the needs of the service,
- You will collaborate with service users, families, carers, and involved professionals to provide a coordinated and consistent service that maximises outcomes for service users,
- You will assist the line manager with ensuring that the service meets all the requirements and standards set by the service specification, the Commissioners, the CQC, Creative Support, and other stakeholders.
You will be expected to work flexibly on a rota to meet the needs of the service, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
We are looking for candidates from all walks of life. You must have at least two years’ experience in supporting people with learning disabilities and possession of NVQ or other relevant social care qualification or working towards this.
