Hays are currently working with a supported living facility in Northampton who care and empower children and young adults to live a full and active life. This small but well-established facility is looking for a Team Leader to guide, motivate and muck in with the daily tasks.

Your new role

In this is in the rewarding and fulfilling role you will be providing leadership as well as ensuring care plans and risk assessments are fulfilled correctly. The service users have a range of needs from Autism, Learning Disability, Mental Health and Epilepsy. As well as the supervision duties there will also be other duties such as personal care, medication and other activities. You will be reporting to the Registered Manager and will be responsible for necessary paperwork such as timetables for residents and ensuring that support plans are adhered to, assessed and updated.

This role will also require you to be comfortable to complete all mandatory training, complete QFC level 3 attend team meetings, supervisions and appraisals as required and represent residents in staff meetings / reviews / appointments.

What you'll need to succeed

You must be comfortable working to policy and procedure and have at LEAST 6 months experience working within a similar capacity. You ideally (but not essential) will be:

Medication Trained
Epilepsy Trained
Autism Awareness Trained
Restraint Trained
Peg Feeding trained
Adept in the use of MARSH sheets and incident recording
Comfortable providing personal care

You will also require the right to work in the UK such as British/EU passport or residence card with rights to work. Alongside this you will require an National Insurance ID. It will also be a benefit if you are on the DBS update service.

What you'll get in return

Flexible 15 hour shifts (37.5 - 40 hrs a week)
1 in 3 weekends worked but overtime is available as agreed with a manager
Higher rate of £60 per night depending on residents
