Senior Support Worker - Children's Residential

My client is looking for a Senior Support Worker to join their organisation within the Ipswich area. You must have Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People's Workforce / Residential Childcare (or for you to be willing to work towards Level 3 Residential Childcare) Experience of working within a children's residential home. You must have a commitment to working with young people who may experience emotional and behavioural difficulties.

My client provides high quality enhanced residential living for children and young people, aged 11-16. They offer personalised support plans to meet their changing needs and encourage young people to make independent choices, learn new skills and become an active member of the community.

You will be required to work to agreed plans and risk assessments so that each individual is given the opportunity to make progress.. To contribute to, monitor, review and evaluateplans & risk assessments. To maintain written records so that reports can be produced, implemented and monitored. Attend planning meetings and reviews, and any other such meetings as required. Have an awareness of the issues relating to families. To work with individual families, helping them to resolve any problems. Actively promote the rights of families.
