As a Senior Support Engineer your prime responsibility will be to be involved in project work and assisting with 3rd line support issues whilst maintaining a high level of customer service. You’ll take ownership of projects and problems, perform technical diagnoses and fix the issue either remotely or on-site. You’ll also be expected to be involved in ongoing projects and system upgrades.
You’ll already have a proven IT track record where you’ve developed strong knowledge of Microsoft-based operating systems, with emphasis on MS Server 2008/2012/2016, Microsoft Exchange and Windows 7, 8 & 10. With a good understanding of server hardware, software set-up, configuration and networking skills, you’ll be an experienced Microsoft trouble-shooter, comfortable with remote access tools. Amongst your other attributes, as Senior Engineer you’ll also bring:
• Microsoft Accreditations.
• Knowledge of Active Directory (AD), DNS and DHCP.
• Virtualisation Technologies (Hyper-V / VMware)
• Networking experience preferably Cisco encompassing LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi
• Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 experience
• Avaya Systems Knowledge
• Excellent telephone and onsite manner.
If you can also offer previous experience from IT Support companies, MCP certification and/or Cisco CCNA, or above, that would be desirable in this Senior Support Engineer role.
