The Senior Supply Chain Planner Opportunity:

Due to recent changes within the Supply Chain Function, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Supply Chain Planner to join the team in Wilmslow. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager for the UK & Ireland, this role is primarily responsible for purchasing materials into the business to support demand and to ensure appropriate stock levels at all times. You will need to strive for excellence in customer service whilst maintaining appropriate stock levels working in a challenging commercially dynamic business. You will also expected to take on projects to improve the Supply Chain either in the team or within the wider, EMEA Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

+ Dealing with stakeholders in the business such as Sales & Commercial Team and Operations and the wider EMEA Region
+ Be a key member of the Supply Chain Planning Function working to develop and maintain the short, medium and long-term supply and inventory plans across the 3rd party supplier and manufacturing network
+ Utilise analytical and system skills to maintain information integrity and accuracy within the planning systems and related tools
+ Manage the development and ongoing maintenance of the supply plan through partnering with the Demand Planning team, Sales & Commercial Divisions and external stakeholders building strong relationships with all levels of the business
+ Deliver a high-quality supply plan based on the outputs of the demand planning process optimising lead-time requirements, inventory levels and capacity requirements.
+ Investigates root causes for missed orders (service) or Bad Inventory inflow and is able to define measurements to avoid issues in the future
+ Successfully challenges commercial functions while supporting them to win customers and support suppliers
+ Scrutinizes complex customer requests or supplier/customer complaints for the team
+ Supports the team’s Continuous Improvement working on (new) solutions for weaker performance areas or area’s with a lack of flexibility.

What We Are Looking For:

+ Highly analytical, with strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills you will possess the ability to communicate across different levels of the business
+ Strong PC skills & SAP functionality experience alongside an extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Microsoft Office suite of applications
+ You will have a detailed knowledge of supply chain planning and wider supply chain principles with a well-established knowledge of planning tools and advanced planning systems
+ Solid understanding of working within a busy, fast paced planning team along with experience of supporting colleagues with ideas and any issues that may arise
+ Ability to take on projects to improve the supply chain either in the team or within the EMEA supply chain
+ Leadership to coach junior planners
+ Can take responsibility with limited supervision from manager
+ CI focussed
+ Ability to run an S&OP plan, managing the supply bottlenecks forecasting out sales and solving operational constraints with the Business.
