A Chartered or Near Chartered Structural Engineer is sought to join this medium sized structural consultancy at their offices based in South West London.
This is a permanent position within a friendly team of consulting engineers and technicians. You will be employed by a charismatic and enthusiastic director who has a'workhard-playhard'attitude.
They office environment is in a picturesque location which is easy to commute to via public transport.They have excellent views of the River Thames and nearby car parking, as well as cycle parking and shower facilities. The team is a mix of dynamics and there is great emphasis on team integration and social activities.
The practice was established 10 years ago and is expanding further due to its continually increasing workload. The firm works mainly in the high end residential sector, both new build and refurbishment, often bespoke projects involving basement design, sometimes multi-storey. Other projects include commercial schemes such as schools and religious buildings. Projects normally range from £150,000 up to £10m. They are involved in both temporary and permanent works design.
This is an exciting time for a firm in its growth phase, and this position could be for a candidate to play a key role in the future development of the business. You should have experience of residential buildings design within the London market and be technically excellent from a design point of view. Your duties will include hands on design, running projects, assisting more junior staff and liaising with clients and architects. You need to be a commercially minded individual and salary will be commensurate with how good you are!
