Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse - Fracture Clinic, Orthopaedic Outpatients and Plaster Room

A full-time opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to support our Orthopaedic Outpatient Sister in the role of Senior Staff Nurse.

Orthopaedic outpatients and plaster room is a busy department, seeing around 1,000 adults and children per week.

The majority of our clinics are held at the Royal Berkshire Hospital but we also cover clinics held in our spoke centres at Bracknell and Thatcham.

We offer a wide range of experience from fracture clinics, orthopaedic clinics and plaster room. We are working towards the further development of a virtual fracture clinic, nurse led clinics and pre-operative assessment.

We would like candidates to have had management or leadership experience, evidence of their involvement in change management, excellent communication skills and an ability to adapt to the changing needs of our service supporting the Sister.

Candidates who have a national qualification in casting would be desired; however, training would be available to the successful candidate.

Development towards degree level in nursing would be advantageous.

Delivering excellence in patient care and patient experience is our driving force and in return we offer commitment to your personal development.

Date of interviews: Thursday 22nd October in the afternoon.
