A four star hotel in Manchester hotel is recruiting for the position of Senior Sous Chef
A Senior Sous Chef is required to work closely with the Head Chef of a four star hotel that is very popular with the corporate market throughout the week with leisure guests at the weekend as well as private events including weddings. This is a large hotel with a busy, high quality food operation with the kitchen using all fresh produce to create dishes for the various outlets. In this role of Senior Sous Chef you will be 'hands on’ during service but this is also a managerial role expecting you to attend HOD meetings; complete the kitchen paperwork; carry out the online procurement for ordering and ensure hygiene legislation is always followed by the whole team. At the same time you will be training, motivating and directing the junior members of the kitchen brigade.
All chefs applying for this role should have experience working at Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef level in a large, four star hotel operation where you were working with company wide menus and cooking to at least one AA Rosette level. Experience in all areas of kitchen management are essential for this role including previous knowledge of online procurement procedures.
