Senior Software Developer – Clojure/Scala

Senior Software Developer with experience in Clojure or a similar functional programming language such as Scala or F# is required by innovative software house looking to revolutionise the online retail industry. With our client recently securing new funding to enable them to realise their potential and offer them the platform to succeed with their expansion plans, this will be an exciting opportunity to have an integral influence on the companies goal to reach out to new markets and expand their reach globally.

This award-winning company is now well established in their field and is working alongside some of the UK’s most recognisable companies and have in recent times expanded into Europe, Asia and South America. To continue this impressive growth and expansion, significant funding has now been secured to prepare the company for the next push in their evolution. As an experienced Full Stack Developer you would be responsible for maintaining and developing the applications, with a primary focus being on the web based applications, alongside their associated services within the cloud.

Successful candidates will be able to display an extensive knowledge and enthusiasm for functional programming, ideally in Clojure, although experience working with Scala, F# or another functional language would also be considered. Meanwhile you will also need to have experience working with web based tools, distributed systems and the architecture that lays behind that. A background of working within an Agile, Test-driven environment will also be key moving forward with your application. Any applicants who also have hands-on experience in C# and C++ will be particularly desirable, combining this with a working knowledge of AWS and Azure would place any candidates to the top of the pile.
