£55,000 - £60,000 + bonus + perm benefits
A leading UK based company is looking to expand their security team and add a Senior SOC Analyst to be responsible for protecting the security systems and resilience against any compromised systems. Performing cyber security monitoring and security incident response, including:
*Monitors for external threats and indicators of compromise
*Responds to and leads incident response for threat alerts
*Monitors for inappropriate utilisation of computer resources
*Assesses reported security threats and weaknesses.
*Provides level II support for Operations
*Participates in 24/7 on-call rotation.
*Participates in ethical hacking red team/blue team exercises.
*Monitor and perform analysis of events of interest in the clients' environments.
*Lead the potential threat response and management of security incidents and specifying security controls and mitigation.
*Mentor and develop the skill set of the junior team members through complex incident response investigations.
*Extensive experience working within a SOC using a number of SIEM tools including Splunk.
*Knowledge of various Incident Response techniques and procedures.
*Prior experience working within a cloud based SOC environment.
*The ability to mentor and lead more junior analysts through multiple complex investigations.
