Senior Site Manager

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Site Manager to join a leading national Contractor. The company specialise in social housing (new build & refurbishment), regeneration & general construction in the public sector.

The company is on a massive and exciting growth path, expanding all its operating regions, leading to new positions and a wealth of career development opportunities for employees.

The Project

Due to the award of a new project they have been awarded based in Stockport they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager. The project will involve the conversion of a derelict grade II listed building into 150 contemporary 1 and 2 bed apartments, along with 50 townhouses.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, your duties include but will not be limited to:-

  • Managing a site team including Tradesman, Subcontractors and ensuring works are being carried out to programme and within budget;
  • Requisition of materials;
  • Monitoring and managing health and safety on site;
  • Holding regular progress meetings and attending client meetings when necessary;
  • Updating the construction programme;
  • Checking the quality of all plant on site;
  • Attending monthly cost meetings.

Skills & Experience required

The successful candidate must have:

  • SMSTS;
  • CSCS;
  • First Aid;
  • Asbestos Awareness;

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a stable career background as a Senior/Site Manager, ideally working on listed building and conversion projects. The successful candidate should have detailed knowledge of the construction industry, and be able to maintain and build client relationships.

In return for your skills, you will be offered a salary of £45-£50k, company car/allowance and additional company benefits
