Project Manager - New Build housing / 10 x traditional build apartment blocks
£60,000 - £65,000 + package
A leading 5* PLC Housing Developer is looking to recruit a Senior Site Manager / Project Manager to join their team. You will be working on a large, all traditional build 10 x block of 4 story apartments with a full site team, including 2 x Site Managers reporting into you.
To be considered for this role it is essential you have apartment & housing experience, preferably for a PLC housing developer but other backgrounds may be considered. You will be a Site Manager who is ready to take the next step or an already experienced SSM/PM.
The Project Manager will manage all site resources including 2 Managers, labour, plant and materials as well as on-site health and safety and client customer service. You will be responsible for all on site production from site set up through to completion, sub-contract weekly / monthly meetings and managing programmes. Whilst being able to drive the subcontractors and be responsible for Quality and programme. You must be capable of managing all aspects of the production works, be dynamic and eager to drive projects forward whilst being proactive and not reactive.
The Project Manager will also be responsible for identifying overspend and highlighting potential savings. Communication is key, and you will need to liaise with other teams within the company to update them on the progress of the project.
To be considered for this position you will need to have a background working for a private developer or a residential contractor (working on HA schemes). It is important that you have a broad understanding of all trades and have a thorough knowledge of the construction process. You will have excellent organisation and communication skills, work well within a team and be computer literate.
