We’re now looking for a Senior Revenue Assurance Analayst to join our Revenue Assurance Team in Coventry to help us continue to make that difference

How the role fits in

The Revenue Assurance team is responsible for minimising revenue and cost leakage. First and foremost, we’re a commercial function with financial objectives to achieve. Where it’s appropriate we’re also a process analysis, monitoring and control function.

We create cases for change and own the delivery of changes as diverse as; preventing duplicated refunds, ensuring we’re applying all applicable charges to bills, reducing the differences between what we settle and what we bill, ensuring we’re receiving all cash payments from prepayment meter top ups, optimising cashflow when we re-assess fixed direct debit amounts.

The successful candidate for this position will be a hybrid, with time split roughly ~60% as a deeply proficient analyst and 40% as a change agent, creating business cases for change, owning change delivery and then realising the benefits

The role day to day

·Analyse quantitative and qualitative information inputs to identify and confirm instances of leakage and to size the prize from resolving their root causes

·Work with process owners and technical teams to estimate and cost the capabilities required to reduce leakage

·Produce business cases for reducing leakage and seek approval to proceed from appropriate authorities

·Own projects and workstreams required to realise the business case

·Develop and maintain reports to monitor leakage and to measure delivery against business cases

·Work with Finance to help ensure the effects of initiatives are sufficiently recognised in company accounts

·Cultivate a revenue assurance culture across the business from product design through to operational implementation, working with all stakeholders to minimise the risk of cost and revenue leakage in everything they do

What You'll need to help you make the best of the role

·Proficient in analysing and deriving information from data using SQL and spreadsheets

·Proficient in business analysis to derive and structure qualitative information from subject matter experts (e.g., using process flow charting techniques)

·Good working knowledge of energy business processes including; registrations, reads management, change of property ownership, billing, payments and collections, meter exchanges

·Well practised in developing and seeking approval for business cases

·Effectively influences senior resource owners and decision makers

·Experience in defining requirements for system and process change

·Experience in leading and where necessary, managing projects through to successful delivery.

·Understands relevant governance and regulatory requirements (e.g., supply license conditions, data protection)

·Experience of accounting and financial reporting
