We have opportunities for Senior Residential Childcare Workers to join our team in Blackwater, Truro, Cornwall.
About the role

Based in Blackwater, Truro, Cornwall at one of our small residential homes that care for 2-5 children who live together, you will be a key member in a tight-knit team of carers. As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will be responsible for improving the lives of these children with learning disabilities or complex behavioural needs, including their access to the wider community.
We help them with personal development, meals, medication, education and all other day to day activities and we make sure that the home is clean, tidy, warm and inviting, fulfilling the needs of children, young people and families regardless of disability, racial/cultural origin or gender.
We will train and support you from day one and develop you into a care professional, providing you with opportunities across our group of companies. You will learn the implementation and delivery of Care Plans, maintaining the development of positive child care practice, and support the managers, keeping with the aims and objectives of Pathway Care Residential.
Who we are looking for
We are looking to speak to Residential Childcare Workers who are enthusiastic reliable and flexible people with excellent communications skills and a passion for caring for young people.
We would love to hear from you if you have a genuine interest in the welfare, care and development of children and young people with emotional behavioural difficulties.
We provide ongoing training opportunities for our team members to ensure that the successful candidate feels confident and competent to work with our young people.
The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care- Caring for Children & Young People or the Level 3 Children & Young People’s Workforce Diploma / Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care
Our homes offer care 24/7 and we offer various shifts of 40 hours per week along with sleep-ins. Shifts are made up of days, nights, evenings and weekends.
