THE COMPANY
Harnham is working with a research and analytics firm focusing on the Sport, film, TV, and Communications. With a broad clientele base made up of sports rights holders, public broadcasting groups and online video providers. The successful candidate will be heading up the Sports Media Rights vertical.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Research Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Expand and enhance the existing database of media rights deals.
- Manage a team of 3-4 analysts, overseeing their performance and development.
- Maintain and optimize models, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop thought leadership content and present at industry events to showcase expertise and increase visibility.
- Create engaging analytics pieces to support client understanding of trends and developments in the sports industry.
- Participate in product demos and contribute to commercial efforts, including sales support.
- Drive commercial strategy and product expansion based on market demand and commercial potential, while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Communicate project and product development status to senior management to ensure effective client and sales messaging.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The Senior Research Manager will the following skills and experience:
- Experience in a research, strategy, or analysis role within the sports media industry, gained at a rights holder, brand, agency, industry analyst firm, or consultancy
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and execute projects while managing team workloads.
- Proven line management experience, with the ability to effectively manage both upwards and downwards.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- A solid understanding of data structuring and organizing large datasets.
- Ability to simplify complex information into clear, concise research that meets client needs.
- Experience in commercial strategy.
- Experience presenting at conferences or industry events is a plus.
