Duties and responsibilities
Assist the Timetabling Manager with the production of course timetables for University, within agreed timescales making full use of the functionality of CELCAT timetabling software.
Implement and adhere to agreed University policy and procedures for CELCAT (the University Timetabling System).
Provide advice, support and guidance to College staff on matters relating to timetabling, and University timetabling protocols and processes.
Create, produce and distribute staff, student and room timetables.
Provide information for the Timetabling Manager that will support the annual timetabling planning cycle for University
Qualifications/ Knowledge and Experience
• Timetabling experience using advanced functions of CELCAT.
• Experience of working within an academic environment, i.e. at Higher Education.
• Experience of using specifically CELCAT timetabling system
• Experience of data entry and manipulation of CELCAT; ability to question the validity of data and have strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to timetabling systems
Communication and Service Delivery
• Provide routine oral and written information clearly and concisely, understand and explain technical terms commonly used in this role.
Distinguish between the need to decide and when to defer, also contributes to the decision making of others by providing relevant information and opinions. Ability to analyse problems to identify their cause, considering all possible solutions to identify those which offer wider benefits.
Interpretation of complex programme structures to create sub groups to produce clash free timetables.
