We are always looking for proven consultants to make their next career move either into, or within, built environment recruitment.
Corepeople is the North East of England's market leading and longest-established Construction specialist recruitment agency, with turnover of £20 million + per annum and healthy profitability. Now entering our thirtieth year of trading, in recent times we have developed a broad client base in Yorkshire, an expansion which has provided staff with continued development opportunities throughout our company.
Our success and position in the market place is attributed to our reputation, integrity, our approach to the service we offer and above all the quality of our people. As market leaders in construction recruitment, we work with the organisations who are at the forefront of the construction industry and as a result, our consultants gain exposure to the highest profile national and international contractors as well as the strongest independent companies that dominate the northern regions.
The role of a senior recruitment consultant within Corepeople is to specialise in the provision of professional and technical staff to contractors, subcontractors and the professions in the Civil Engineering, Building or Housing sectors throughout the North East and Cumbria or Yorkshire. All recruitment consultants are responsible for developing business with new and existing clients, but senior consultants are also expected to achieve higher placement levels as well as to spot and develop opportunities that enable a greater control over the relationships we foster, such as long term or exclusive supply arrangements that will serve to benefit Corepeople and the organisations we work with.
The senior consultant in Corepeople is also frequently charged with setting the way forward and mentoring more junior team members. There is an expectation upon the senior consultant to work autonomously, driven by their own competitive nature and ambition to succeed in their sphere of the operation.
Required to work in a very demanding environment, successful applicants must possess high levels of commitment, resilience and dedication. Senior consultants must demonstrate excellent organisational and performance measurement skills. Consequently we look for strong-willed and confident individuals who have personality and charisma in abundance.
Working on the outskirts of Durham, our office environment is vibrant, fun and inclusive - our consultants don't subscribe to any recruitment consultant stereotypes!
Experience, Skills & Background
No construction industry experience is necessary!
A successful senior recruitment consultant in Corepeople demonstrates a self- driven, competitive nature and is able to lead by example by managing their own market space and sales activities. Demonstrating knowledge of what it takes to build solid client interactions and excellent candidate rapport for immediate gain as well as the longer term picture is a given requirement of this position.
Operating in a business to business sales environment where personal attributes are at least as important as qualifications or previous experience, successful applicants must demonstrate a capacity for hard work and independent thought, the ability to influence, and an aptitude for pursuing opportunities and ultimately, to profit from them.
Previous experience in recruitment is welcome, but not essential, as we consider industry knowledge in construction or proven sales ability to be equally as valuable. A full UK driving licence is a pre-requisite, as the role will require many face to face interactions with clients throughout the region.
Salary is fully negotiable dependent upon experience. Our entry level salary for senior consultants is upwards of £22,500 per annum, plus company car or car allowance, with a generous commission structure. Realistically, any candidate joining us who can demonstrate around eighteen months' successful experience in a recruitment or sales capacity should expect minimum on target earnings of between £45,000 to £50,000 in their first year with us.
Additionally, all of our recruitment consultants receive generous benefits, with profit share, private health, permanent health insurance and death in service cover coming as standard. If you can display appropriate experience you can expect to benefit from an industry-leading rewards package considerably in excess of this.
For further information, please contact Ian Storer, Director, in complete confidence. Alternatively, to apply, please send a current CV. You will receive a response within twenty four hours.
