Senior Radiographer

The University Hospital Ayr is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly team. Consideration will also be given to applicants seeking part time employment.

You should have a wide range of general radiographic experience and will preferably have suitable and significant post graduate experience. You should be an innovative highly motivated radiographer with good communication and team working skills. A flexible approach to your work is essential as you will be required to rotate into CT and/or MRI. Some basic CT skills are essential - training can be offered to build up more advanced skills.
You will be expected to participate in a shift system providing 24/7 cover and participation in CT on call is mandatory.
You must demonstrate a commitment to professional development and show a keen interest in the future of their profession and the Diagnostic Imaging services. You will also be expected to support both the service and its staff in continuing to maintain and develop the highest standards of imaging. You will be involved in departmental audit activities and excellent communication and team working skills are essential.

It is essential you have a BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography / Imaging Services with current registration with the HCPC. A post graduate qualification in a relevant modality would be advantageous. Our department actively promotes a positive culture of CPD.

An up-to-date Continuing Personal Development portfolio is required.

Hours: 37.5 per week

A car owner / driver is essential.
