A Global Engineering and Construction company, situated near Leigh, are looking to attract a Senior Project Support Manager as the Business go through a period of positive change.

The role will be paying up to £50,000 Per Annum, Plus Car and Bonus.

About the Role

As a Senior Project Support Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining key senior site based relationship, with the Project and Site Manager
  • Ensuring project managers are supported in a consistent, standard way for small and medium scale projects
  • Confidently making appropriate interventions (e.g. highlighting lack of process compliance) upon collecting/reviewing metrics to support SLA reporting and team performance monitoring
  • Manage, plan and organise the Project Support Coordination (PSC) team members to meet the Project Managers requirements
  • Deliver the people processes, setting objectives, monitoring performance, intervening where needed, development planning, leadership, performance appraisal etc
  • Ensure the team are regularly briefed on the wider business context and ensure the team are made to feel part of the business e.g. provide updates from stakeholder meetings with Shared Service Centre Manager, business contacts etc
  • Monitor the effectiveness of PSC team members ability to build strong relationships with the project and site managers, procurement (buyers), QS (requisition approval), Payroll (timesheets)
  • Monitor the consistency of PSC team members running weekly reports for the Project Manager advising of re-order actions needed (materials), staffing decisions, Plant hire/off hire
  • Monitor the efficiency of collection and processing of tickets for GRN & Timesheets
  • Foster close working relationship with the PSM Process Lead and PSM Team Lead (Site Based Projects) and the P2P Process Lead

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Vast construction industry site experience

  • At least 5-8 years' experience working in a construction industry, managing staff in a process organised team, ideally in the purchase to pay process and/or broad business administration
  • An ability to perform in a changing environment
  • Thorough stakeholder management expertise matched with influencing skills
  • Experienced relationship manager
  • An openness to travel UK wide
