Senior Project Manager Web/ERP Migration - contract role based in south Paris

Overall Purpose of the Role:
Project management for the refactoring and migration of a web-based application backbone (ERP).

Based in: France (south of Paris) Project-based,

Contract duration: 12-18 months

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-end ownership of the migration of a Web-ERP, including:

o Establishing requirements

o Develop concept (solution)

o Functional mapping o Define development methodology, phasing, …

o Prototyping, proof of concept, integration testing

o User training, user acceptance

o Data migration

o Go-live

o Post go-live support

Planning and co-ordination of all activities with all relevant internal functions/services (product managers, software developers, …)

Overall governance (steering committees, upward reporting, …)

Change management (and communication) with end user level

Reporting to : Head of IT
Education: Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline; or, equivalent demonstrable experience.

Qualifications and Experience Levels:

10+ years of experience as a senior program manager for software development/migration; demonstrated success developing a variety of software systems while taking on increasing responsibility for analysis, design, implementation and deployment tasks.

6+ years of experience developing data-driven applications utilizing significant relational database engines as part of the overall application architecture (experience with any or all of the following highly desirable: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server)

6+ years of experience building web-based software systems, utilizing N-tier architectures, dynamic content, highly-scalable approaches, and complex security models/ implementations.
