What are the main duties of the role?

A varying role, you would be primarily expected to define and manage capital equipment projects including associated spares and commissioning orders. Being responsible from initial handover from the sales department until final on-site commission and customer acceptance, you will work with the design and commissioning team during the lifespan of the project, ensuring the project is fit for purpose and within budget. Alongside these duties, the project manager will be expected to generate the technical specification, manage customer communications along with commercial control.

What are the additional responsibilities?

  • To oversee team members.

  • To review the sales specification.

  • Management of the project through a variety of departments.

  • Maintain excellent customer relationships, ensuring good customer communication and satisfaction.

  • Organise the commercial aspects such as invoicing and shipping.

  • Ensure that the project is profitable.

What do you need to apply?

  • HND / Degree / Chartered Engineer Status in electrical engineering other similar discipline or related field.

  • Experience in working with Allen Bradley, Siemens or Mitsubishi PLC, and other industrial drive, control and automation products.

  • Great team working skills and the ability to work with and manage people at all levels.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • The ability to write technically.

  • Experience in face-to-face customer interaction.

  • Strong commercial awareness.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

  • Willingness to work over when required.

  • A full UK driving licence.
