Senior Project Manager- API and Authentication / Authorisation

We are looking for an individual who has successfully delivered large, complex IT projects and programmes to work on Saving projects. API and/or authentication and authorisation solutions experience is required, and a proven track record in Application Development is advantageous. 

There is also a strong preference to bring in (and up) our agile delivery management capabilities

You will form part of the 50+ PM practice; as part of the leadership capability we are looking for professionals with the experience, skills and desire to help us move it forward.

We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to successfully deliver a mixture of projects to support our Savings change agenda, many of which will have a significant IT dimension including APIs as well as Authentication and Authorisation processes. You will be a Senior Project Manager who follows our Change Framework, working closely with business stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes and benefits.

Reporting to and working closely with a Change Portfolio manager planning and proactively managing projects, or work-streams, through the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to implementation and closure.

Identifying and managing stakeholders effectively, anticipating points of resistance, and developing plans to alleviate or address their concerns,

Ensuring appropriate governance and risk management is achieved through application of project management standards.

Pro-actively monitoring project costs against budget and progress against plan, applying your knowledge and experience to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues where appropriate.

What we’ll be looking for in you as a Senior Project Manager

  • Financial services experience ideally with exposure to Savings (products, operations, technologies, regulation) would be desirable.

  • Knowledge and demonstrable experience in IT change, specifically API and/or authentication and authorisation solutions experience

  • Preferred but not essential, hands on experience in Application Development, but as a minimum a good understanding of IT Development and ITIL principles

  • Expertise in the management of change, with evidence of ability to work within a structured project management delivery framework, ideally including SCRUM / Agile methodologies.  Prince 2 or a similar qualification would also be advantageous

  • Seasoned professionals who have the experience, insight, and passion to drive the CBS Change management capability forward.

  • A team player but with demonstrable evidence of strong leadership and influencing skills in a matrix managed environment

  • Knowledge of business analysis techniques, the software development lifecycle and standard testing regimes

  • Excellent planning and organizing skills

  • Excellent communication skills at all level of the business with an ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external parties.
