Senior Programme / Project Manager - Apprenticeship Corporate Accounts

Want to put your experience of running multiple people/projects where your hard work has a significant impact on people’s careers?

Want to work on a large/complex Government Apprenticeship project?

Do you enjoy leading managing, recruiting and developing teams?

Great, looks like we have the ideal role for you!

What is the role?

As a Lead Talent Partner within the QAA Corporate team you will manage a number of project focused Talent Partners and Talent Coordinators (project managers, and support teams) charged with implementing/delivering an Apprenticeship programme for a large Government contract.

You will lead and manage the team - but also be a 'player/manager’ owning and implementing your own apprenticeship programmes, and building senior stakeholder relationships. You will in-turn oversee the team - ensuring we are delivering great customer service, working to SLA’s as well as supporting and developing the Talent Partners you manage.

You will manage expectations with internal and external stakeholders - proactively providing solutions so that we always deliver an outstanding Apprenticeship service. This is a proactive role, and you will also be a comfortable data manager - using trends and data to predict challenges and improve service, and supporting the success of the contract.

You will be comfortable in a dynamic and changing environment - and have experience in driving, growing and managing expanding teams, and being able to balance resource vs budget requirements.

You will also be a senior manager on the overall project - driving overall solutions and ensuring business is grown, renewed and extended. You will have gravitas, and be expected to engage at a senior level internally, but also have a commercial responsibility; and you work closely with the Account Director and other business areas to not only negotiate and implement contracts but grow the account.

How will we support you?

Whether you have industry experience or not, you will receive training and on-going support from your team including your Manager - Allan.

Allan has been working within the Learning industry for over 10 years, has built and managed successful teams which is great news for you.

Joining a team of 10, the environment you can be best described as out-going and sociable but with a real focus on delivering the best service we can to not only change people’s careers but help business’ train & upskill their employees.

Financial package and benefits

We are offering a base salary of up to £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience), up to £5,000 commission, car allowance of £3,600. Private Pension as well as 25 days holiday, 2 days paid Charity work each year for a charity of your choice (which we actively encourage), 3 days of additional training which does not need to be relevant to your role from our very own course selection (1,200 to be precise), discounted gym membership and cycle to work scheme.

Sales opportunity?

2017 is an interesting year for Apprenticeships with the Government Levy in place. This will affect employers in all sectors whereby business with a paybill in excess of £3 million will be charged 0.5%, which is then set aside specifically for Apprenticeships.

QAA offers employers programmes to not only take on young learners but upskill their current employees by offering Apprenticeships in Systems & Networking, Software Development, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Project Management, Leadership & Management and Cyber Security.

What skills/experience are we looking for?

  • Understanding of project planning and project management techniques, particularly in a fast-moving environment.
  • Knowledge of Apprenticeship programmes, ideally in the Technology or Business Services sectors (preferred)
  • Understanding of the key aspects involved in the development of high quality training programmes (preferred - not essential)
  • Business Development and sales experience (preferred)
