Job Title: Senior Production and Logistics Planner / Supply Chain Manager Designate

A rapidly growing FMCG manufacturing facilty supplying an ever growing portfolio of Blue Chip retailers and SME's, is now seeking a Supply Chain Manager Designate to join their new state-of-the-art facility in Telford. This position has been created due to expenential growth and is designed to eliviate the role of the Operations Director, who will then be able to take a more holistic and strategic view of the business, so production can continue to provide an excellent OTIF delivery to their customers. Working across their two sites, you will be granted extra responsibilities as you grow in the role, with the intention of becoming the company's Supply Chain Manager in 12-18 months.
You will take a lead on production / materials planning, ensuring the small team of planners maintain a smooth flow into production, liaising with the procurement team to guarantee stock levels are sustained. On completed products, you will also take a lead on organising, planning and liaising with current storage and logistics partners, to ensure customer targets and expectations are met. The original facility has 9 productions lines, with another 12 being created in the new site and more planned for the near future, just to give you an idea of the rate of growth this company is experiencing.
The ideal candidate will be ready to take that next step into management, with clear targets and planned routes to get you to Supply Chain Manager level as soon as possible. Due to such extensive growth, you will experience the kind of autonomy you've always craved, giving you the ability to take a lead on planning and logistics, to ensure the company can cope with the extra orders.
