Description

About Pearson

At Pearson, we’re committed to a world that’s always learning and to our talented team who makes it all possible. From bringing lessons to life with engaging and innovative resources to developing market-leading qualifications, we are bold thinkers who explore new frontiers in an environment that supports and inspires us to always be better.

About the Team

Our UK Schools business supports schools, teachers, learners and their parents throughout their entire school journey, from 5 to 19. Our vision is to be the partner of choice for every school and every teacher; helping every learner to achieve their full potential.

We are looking for energetic, proactive individuals to join our product management and development teams. We can offer opportunities in our Primary and Secondary teaching and learning teams, and in our qualification product and development teams. Whichever team you join, we are united by putting learners at the heart of all we do, supporting teachers to do what they do best and working with partners to really make a difference in children's lives.

About the role

A typical week for our product team might include:

  • Working within the context of a Pearson UK Schools strategy and liaising with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to formulate transformative digital and innovative strategies for our aged 4-19 learners, their teachers and school leaders, and their parents, delivering ongoing profit and share growth.

  • Developing deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics, to create compelling propositions and inform market-winning product development.

  • Finding, commissioning and working with key authors and industry figures, as well as internal and external teams, to ensure the timely launch of products and services.

  • Generating compelling business cases for products, services and qualifications at different stages of the product life cycle, managing budgets and forecasting revenues.

  • Working with sales and marketing colleagues to devise and implement an effective data-driven campaign strategy and customer journey.

  • Working effectively in virtual teams with colleagues across Pearson to ensure a positive working culture, in support of Pearson UK Schools strategy both in the UK and internationally.

  • Championing a ‘Customer First’ culture within the business, ensuring that all decisions are made with reference to the needs of our customers and learners.

About You

  • We are looking for individuals who love education and are passionate about creating resources and qualifications that help learners make progress.

  • Ideally you would have proven product management skills and have led fast-paced projects with cross-functional teams.

  • We don't need you to have worked in publishing or education, but an interest in this area would be desirable.
