Responsible for effective contract management of third party suppliers against agreed contracts and work packages.

Responsible for successful contract management of suppliers to ensure good ongoing value for money is delivered from services received.

Responsible for the effective and efficient procurement of goods, works and services to meet the administrative and operational needs

Responsible for accruing and assimilating records to create management information that will both ensure continuous improvement in the Forces’ current activity and highlight future procurement opportunities.

Responsible for implementing and maintaining efficient and effective working procedures within the Procurement Section to cover all aspects of the day to day procurement activity and tasks.

Devise and prepare contract documentation for high value, complex portfolio of goods and services in consultation with internal stakeholders, ensuring needs are understood and that functionality and performance are effective.

Accountable for inviting, receiving and managing the evaluation of such tenders in compliance with the Contract Standing Orders, UK & EU Legislation.

Negotiate and establish such contracts/agreements on most favourable terms possible demonstrating the responsibility of delivering Best Value.

Proactively oversee and manage any contract or agreement awarded in line with the service and performance terms established, whilst ensuring an effective and efficient communication mechanism is maintained between customer and supplier.

Prepare financial analyses and forecasts of future and current expenditure on contracts to ensure costs and savings are within the proposed budgetary constraints.

CIPS MEMBERSHIP
Degree educated or equivalent commercial experience
Technical services experience and working with technical providers / frameworks particularly in ICT
Experience of management consultancy contracts
Good understanding of European Procurement Law and implementing purchase contracts and supply agreements.
Understanding of public sector compliance
Proven track record of contract and supplier relationship management

This role is likely to require travel to London 2 days a week - Travel costs will be paid for travel to London
