Senior Procurement Category Manager

Badenoch & Clark is currently recruiting for a Senior Procurement Category Manager to join a large housing provider on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and implement sourcing strategies and category plans for complex and high spend major categories to reduce and optimise expenditure.

Overview of Responsibilities
* Take a lead on sourcing activity on major expenditure projects, products and services within the maintenance team around £40-50m per annum.
* Manage the procurement contract management process for between 20-25 strategic and major suppliers.
* Lead the development of procurement opportunities.
* Lead on value for money and deliver annual savings of between £0.5m-£1m.
* Provide leadership and guidance to non-procurement practitioners across the organisation.

The successful applicant will ideally hold a CIPS qualification and have a customer orientated approach. Previous experience of working in procurement ideally within the social housing or manufacturing sector.
