Senior/Principal Transport Planner

We’re working with a leading UK consultancy who are building the Birmingham team. They are looking for a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to help continue the success of the team.

This is a key role for an experienced transport planner who’s ready to take ownership and lead on projects and play a pivotal role in developing the team.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Leading on transport planning projects from feasibility through to delivery
  • Preparing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Parking Strategies, Access Strategies, and more
  • Managing and mentoring junior staff, helping to develop their technical and project skills
  • Overseeing junction modelling and TRICS assessments
  • Liaising directly with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders
  • Providing expert input into S106 negotiations and technical approvals
  • Driving business development opportunities in the Birmingham and wider market
What we’re looking for:
  • A relevant degree (Master’s in Transport or related discipline desirable)
  • Extensive experience in UK development planning and transport policy
  • Proficiency in junction modelling and transport planning software
  • A proven track record in client management and delivering high-quality transport solutions
