We are a Physiotherapy department situated on the Western edge of the Lake District. The Planned Movement, Rotational Band 6 scheme means you will have the opportunity to choose and rotate between acute and community services. Teams include: acute medical, ICU, orthopaedics, older persons’ wards as well as MSK out-patients, neurology and older persons rehab. We have highly skilled physiotherapists working in each of these areas who will support you to achieve high standards of professional development and clinical excellence.
This role offers you an opportunity to work within a team offering robust appraisals, preceptorship, clinical and managerial supervision. Continuing professional development is encouraged and we are proud of our varied and interesting in-house training programme which you will be involved in. We also have an active CSP Branch which provides local training from both internal and external speakers.
You will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a changing environment. You will need to be committed to working autonomously providing evidence based assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. We anticipate that you will have completed core Band 5 rotations and have evidence of multi-disciplinary working. You should be able to demonstrate commitment to your own and others professional development. We support the education of physiotherapy students from local Universities and development of other rotational staff and we anticipate you will play a role in this. You will be expected to participate in the respiratory on-call rota and we provide training to ensure competencies around this.
If you think this is the place for you then apply and become part of our developing and innovative team with the advantage of one of the largest National Parks on your doorstep to enjoy once your working day is done.
