A rare opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced senior pharmacy technician to support the MSO, leading on the trust’s medicines safety agenda, promoting and auditing the safe use of medicines.
The post holder will work across sites working in the clinical team and safety team in the following key areas:
- Coordinating the audit agenda, collating data, writing reports and reporting on the findings at relevant committees.
- Supporting the department in implementing safety related projects and initiatives across the trust
- Supporting procedure and policy writing & managing the medicines safety web pages.
- Investigating incidents and errors and contributing to change in practice and staff learning
- Providing a clinical service to a ward area as well as dispensing/checking duties
- Managing and overseeing the day to day running of the clinical technician service in conjunction with the senior clinical technician lead.
We are looking for a motivated, well organised individual with skills in accurate report writing, attention to detail and excellent English and time management skills.
You will have some experience of managing services, acting as line manager to Pharmacy Technicians and assistants. You must be resilient, flexible and positive in your approach.
We require someone with a responsible attitude to work who can demonstrate excellent communication skills, team working and confidence in dealing with a changing work environment.
