Within this role you will manage the monthly processing of payrolls and be responsible for the Payment of PAYE, balancing payrolls ready for transmission of BACS and you will assist in the accurate calculation and recording of statutory payments including SSP and SMP. In addition, you will provide an excellent advisory service to both managers and employees as well as producing reports for External and Internal departments.
The successful candidate will be a dedicated payroll professional with a proven background in payroll processes. You will have, or be working towards, CIPP / Payroll Alliance qualification. You will be IT competent and will ideally have experience with iTrent and it is essential that you have up to date knowledge of all statutory regulations.
With a proactive approach to problem solving, the Senior Payroll Clerk will have excellent numerical, verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to prioritise an ever changing workload as the Senior Clerk will be responsible for managing numerous payrolls and pay dates.
The hours of work are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.15pm with a 45 minute unpaid break.
Salary is £23999 per annum
