A Senior Pastry Chef position is available in the catering department of a Cambridge college
A Senior Pastry Chef role is available at a Cambridge college where you will be required to take control of the day to day running of the pastry section in the kitchen. The position will require you to prepare desserts for the students, staff, guests and for special events that take place regularly with the college remaining open throughout the year. As Senior Pastry Chef you will be expected to direct the junior chefs on the pastry section ensuring that they are working to the high standards that have been put in place and can cope with the high numbers of covers produced whilst also writing the dessert menus, managing stock levels and ensuring the section is always prepared for service.
All Pastry Chefs applying for this role should have been working in a fine dining kitchen operation where you were creating all dishes from scratch using high quality ingredients. It is essential that you are used to running a busy section where you were supervising others and developed the skills needed to cope well under pressure.
