Profectus Fintech are recruiting for a Senior Paraplanner to join a well-established, fast-growing, and highly respected Independent Financial Adviser firm based in Woking. You will work closely with a Chartered Financial Adviser, supporting a wide range of HNW and technically complex financial planning cases.

This role requires a proven background in Paraplanning within an IFA or Wealth Management environment, along with strong technical knowledge across all areas of financial planning. You’ll bring a professional approach, exceptional attention to detail, and a solutions-focused mindset. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality technical and analytical support to the Chartered Adviser.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse client information from fact finds, existing records, and meeting notes
  • Conduct advanced financial analysis including cashflow modelling, pension and investment research, and IHT planning
  • Work closely with the Chartered Adviser to prepare for client meetings and reviews
  • Analyse clients’ existing portfolios and provide supporting technical insight
  • Research products and services and prepare well-reasoned recommendations
  • Produce detailed suitability reports, disclosures, and illustrations across a range of advice areas including investments, transfers, drawdown, IHT, and protection
  • Attend client meetings alongside the adviser when required
  • Collaborate with the wider team to ensure efficient business processing and submission
  • Keep up to date with legislation, regulatory expectations, and industry best practice
  • Maintain strong relationships with product and service providers
  • Contribute actively to the in-house Investment Committee
Requirements
  • Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (minimum)
  • At least 4 years’ experience as a Paraplanner
  • Competent with Intelliflo (or similar back-office systems), wrap platforms, FE Analytics, cashflow planning tools, and MS Office
  • Strong technical knowledge across investments, pensions, tax planning, protection, trusts, and IHT
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
