Senior Paraplanner - Predominantly Remote
An established and reputable investment management and financial planning organisation with over 100 years of experience is seeking a skilled Senior Paraplanner to join their expanding Financial Planning team. With a national presence and ambitious growth plans, this firm is dedicated to providing top-tier financial advice and solutions to a diverse, high-net-worth client base.
This role is ideally suited to experienced, career-oriented Paraplanners who hold, or are working towards, Chartered status via the CII. The position offers a predominantly remote setup, requiring office presence only occasionally (one a quarter appx in London), making it an attractive opportunity for individuals seeking flexibility without compromising on professional growth and challenge.
As a Senior Paraplanner, you will work closely with two Senior Financial Planners who manage substantial high-net-worth client portfolios.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with Financial Planners to understand and support client financial objectives
- Preparing high-quality, tailored suitability reports and recommendations
- Conducting thorough research and analysis on a range of financial products, funds, and investment options
- Ensuring all reports and advice adhere to regulatory and internal compliance standards
- Assisting with client queries and coordinating follow-up support as needed
- Creating cash flow models and performing risk assessments to underpin planning recommendations
- Supporting client review processes with detailed documentation for annual and ad-hoc reviews
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) or equivalent; Chartered status (or progression towards it) is highly desirable
- Strong technical knowledge of financial products, including pensions, investments, and protection
- Proven experience in a paraplanning role within wealth management or financial advisory
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and compliance-focused reports
- Proficiency with financial planning software (e.g., Voyant, FE Analytics) and Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to client service
Benefits:
- Flexible hybrid working arrangement with minimal office attendance
- Competitive salary and discretionary bonus
- Comprehensive benefits package including pension contributions and private medical insurance
- Supportive environment with opportunities for professional development and career progression
- Predominantly remote, office based once per quarter (and other times when required)
This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated Paraplanner looking to deepen their expertise in a stable, professional environment. Ideal for those passionate about paraplanning as a career, this role offers the chance to make a significant impact within a growing and well-regarded firm.
