Commercial / Debt Litigation Paralegal required to join award winning, Leeds city centre law firm. Our client has experience in credit management, debt collection and debt purchase and 15 years' experience within legal recoveries. The firm continues to go from strength to strength.
Debt Litigation Paralegal Job Role:
Handling written, email and telephone correspondence from customers, clients, court, third parties and other departments and ensuring delivery is in line with clients SLA's;
Assist Fee Earners with any legal research;
Drafting and preparation of witness statements;
Reviewing evidence and deciding on the best course of action;
Assist Fee Earners with any complex contested matters;
Drafting and preparation of hearing papers;
Assist with drafting any reply and or defence to counterclaims;
Undertake any other duties as and when required.

Ability to play apart in efficiently handling a high volume case load
Studying towards or completed Level 6 CILEX;
Sound knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and court procedures;
Understanding of the SRA and FCA Principles;
At least 2 years Commercial/Debt Litigation experience dealing with a volume caseload.
The successful applicant must be able to identify and achieve solutions to problems and disputes; Work well under pressure; Adherence to SRA and FCA rules; Driven and Positive and demonstrates an awareness of the professional standards required when working within a regulated law firm and the importance of delivering a quality service to our clients.
