Senior Paediatric Advanced Nurse Practitioner

“Right now we are building our future”

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and committed Senior Paediatric Advanced Nurse Practitioners to strengthen our acute paediatric services . We are passionate about our ethos and philosophy and are driven to provide the best care for our patients. We are moving into our new Acute Hospital “The Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH)” in 2022, with support from the Department of Health to complete the build. Paediatric Medicine has 40 beds over 2 wards and includes 6 HDU and 6 Adolescent beds. The first UK clinical skills lab will be embedded within MMUH allowing emphasis on education within the department. The new state of the art acute hospital in Grove Lane, Smethwick will bring together all acute services onto one site.

The Paediatric unit is currently hosted across two sites with a number of outpatient specialty services being delivered, including many specialty clinics such as allergy, diabetes, infectious disease and cardiology.

This is an exciting opportunity for existing experienced Senior Paediatric Advanced Nurse Practitioners to join our team and be part of shaping the future of Advanced Nursing not only within the department but also across the Trust. The successful candidates will be part of the cross site registrar rota working in our inpatient, PAU and our brand new Children's Urgent Care Unit CECU. The new unit is based at City site and opened in June 2020 the unit provides both Emergency Care and Assessment working alongside our colleagues in the Emergency Department.

As a Trust we are committed to the development of Advanced Nurse Practitioners and a dedicated rolling training programme to expand the workforce.
