Search Consultancy Ltd is currently looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to work on a Early Intervention Team for a local authority in the Greater Manchester area. This position is on a contract basis starting as soon as possible.
Salary: up to £26.00 depending on experience
Are you ready for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for an Agency Occupational Therapist in our Early Intervention team.
The Early Intervention Service is an integrated team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Reablement staff, Sensory rehabilitation workers and Primary Assessors.
The service recognises the importance of keeping active and independent for long-term health, wellbeing and quality of life.
You will use your occupational therapy skills to support service users who are referred to Early Intervention. You will undertake an assessment of service user's needs, identifying if there is potential for improvement either by a Reablement Programme, the use of Equipment and/or Adaptations and Assistive Technology Devices. Where a compensatory approach is required, you will assess and provide a range of complex equipment and adaptations to support the residents to remain as independent as possible within their home environment. The successful candidate must have extensive experience of complex equipment and adaptations, assessment of the built environment in relation to a person's functional needs and the ability to develop compensatory and rehabilitative solutions to overcome obstacles, and work with partners to achieve a positive and successful solution for the service user.
The role will also involve working as part of the Integration of Community services as health and social care develop an integrated locality service delivery model.
